The summer has been heavily on-and-off in terms of activity, but it's looking like the rest of this Fall is going to be very much on. Nelo has a bunch of stuff coming up regionally that will take us through December, but, much more excitingly, we're also in the early stages of planning a full-on tour of the southeastern States in the Spring. From Texas through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, none of them will be safe from our path of face-meltage.
Next weekend I'll be heading up to Denton to see my old brothers-in-arms, Snarky Puppy, play at Hailey's, the club where we cut our teeth and embarked on our epic journey of outer-space sound exploration. I might just play with them on a few tunes, too, if they'll let me.
Also, I'm happy to announce that Progress, my funk-fusion band that features such notable Austin heroes as Carter Arrington, Matt Muehling, Nick Clark, Phil Adair, Daniel Watson, and numerous talented guests, will be playing a couple shows in October and November at the Elephant Room and Skinny's, respectively. Here are the public shows I'll be involved in:
