Soon I'll be out the door to head to the Elephant Room for a hit with Austin's favorite big band that plays Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, but it's definitely past time for an update. The new year is bringing a lot of really beautiful and exciting creative opportunities. The first of these is, of course, the Progress album, which is DONE, minus printing-- so there will be a release date announced soon, along with a CD release party and all that good stuff. I think I'm going to try out a Bandcamp page in addition to CD Baby and all that other stuff, since a lot of people I respect seem to like it, and I've been impressed with the layout. We got this guy to do the mastering, and the results have been really, really nice.
Today I've also been working on an exciting project for Nelo. We're going to be part of an upcoming tribute compilation to Lowell George (of Little Feat fame) that will feature acts way more famous than we are, so we're grateful and excited to be featured on it. The band has done a really good job making a killing track, and it couldn't come at a better time, since Nelo's third record is coming out in a few months.
If you don't come to another show for the next few months, though, PLEASE come to One2One this Saturday, because the Funky Knuckles are going to knock it out of the park, as they always do.
