Welcome to my home on the internet

I live in New York City and I play, write, arrange, and produce music for myself and lots of other people. I spend quite a bit of time in Austin, Texas, and travel around the country with various groups. I've contributed performances, compositions, and arrangements to recordings by bands like Snarky Puppy, Okkervil River, Bill Laurance, Nelo, and many more. My band is Progger.

Beautiful stuff

It's been far too long since my last post, but it's been eventful. In addition to working on a new record by my friend Blake Attwell, who is a brilliant songwriter, guitarist, producer, and engineer, there was the whole South By Southwest thing, during which Progress played a really fun gig with Foe Destroyer and the Funky Knuckles. That was all at One2One, as usual, and we'll continue doing most Thursdays there for a while. Aside from that show, South By Southwest consisted, for me, of hanging out with old friends, making new friends, and spending a big chunk of it in Big Bend National Park. Yes, that was awesome. Here's a picture:

...I took that picture with my phone. Technology is cool, and so is old-school nature.

But it's back to the beautiful world of city-music, and I'm happy to be doing it. Progress is back at One2One this week, and there will be some Nelo action in Dallas opening for Bob Schneider at the Granada Theater. Some other stuff, too. And it's already getting hot. Time is going by really fast these days, what's the deal?

3/28/13: Progress and Dahebegebees at One2One, Austin, TX, 9pm
3/30: Nelo and Bob Schneider at the Granada Theater, Dallas, TX
